We are always in need of volunteers to help with the day-to-day running of the sanctuary!
There’s a wide range of activities available, such as:
To find out more or to apply to a volunteer, please fill out our Volunteer Application.
Want to make it a team effort? A volunteer work day for your team is a great team-building experience! We welcome corporate groups to come for a day at the sanctuary and put their time to good use. Contact us for more information or to schedule a corporate volunteer day.
Becoming a volunteer means becoming a valuable part of what we do at Carroll’s Animal Sanctuary and Rescue. Volunteers help with refilling bedding, food, and water bowls, as well as cleaning stalls and much more.
We’re also always looking for volunteers to help with transporting donations, and picking up vegetables and rescued animals.
Or, you can either purchase items from our Amazon Wish List or make a monetary donation to help pay for food, vet care, and other sanctuary expenses.
We’re currently looking only for regular volunteers who can commit to helping out on either a weekly or monthly basis, on either Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This is because meeting new people is hard on some of their animals as this is their home. We try to minimize as much stress on our animals as possible, and one way we do this is by limiting visitors.
Carroll’s ASR runs a foster home based adoption program. Carroll’s ASR takes in stray, abandoned and homeless cats and kittens and finds them their purr-fect forever homes through our adoption program.
Our cats/ kittens are vetted, given their age appropriate vaccines and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
If youre looking to adopt a new cat or kitten into your family click on the link below to apply.
If you’re looking to surrender a cat to our program please carefully read our cat/kitten requirements before sending an owner surrender application.
Please note: we get many requests, and can only take in cats as we adopt cats out to their forever homes. Please be patient with us, as it does take us a few days to respond.
Carroll’s ASR currently runs an indoor cat adoption program. All cats surrendered MUST be friendly cats, who are looking for an indoor family life. We do not run a barn cat program at this time.
There is a $25 surrender fee for all cats surrendered to us.
Carrolls ASR adoption program relies on foster homes to care for our cats and kittens. We cover all of the costs for the cats/kittens and you provide all the love!
Yes!
The adoption fee is $185 for any of our cats and $220 kittens (under 1 year).

We have our kittens/cats at the Hanover Pet Valu and Listowel Pet valu.
We do all of our meet and greets at our Pet Valu Patner locations.
If you would like to meet a cat or kitten who is avaliable for adoption but not at one of our Pet Valu locations please fill out the adoption application and once approved we will set up a time for you to meet the cat or kitten.
We are a foster home based rescue. All of our cats and kittens are located across ontario at foster homes.
We do all of our meet and greets at the pet valus to protect our foster homes and volunteers. And the majority of our avaliable cats and kittens are already located at the Pet Valus.
Yes! We often have bonded pairs or litter mates looking for homes together
